Tennis star Jelena Rybakina has reached the final of the tournament in Indian Wells at the expense of Iga Swiatek. The Kazakh (WTA-10) was the number 1 in the world with 6-2, 6-2.
The reigning Wimbledon champion struck on all five break points she received. At 5-1 in the second set, she lost two match points and promptly lost her first serve. However, the Polish defending champion from Indian Wells could no longer turn the tide.
Rybakina will face Aryna Sabalenka in the final, who defeated Maria Sakkari 6-2, 6-3. The final battle is a repeat of the one at the Australian Open, which was won by Sabalenka.
