LeBron’s cash message that will not please Rudy Gobert!

Not at best since his debut at the Timberwolves, Rudy Gobert continues to receive criticism from observers and fans alike. And LeBron James’ latest outing on Twitter shouldn’t really reassure the French international…

We have known better as the first campaign for his new team. Arriving in Minnesota this summer, Rudy Gobert was to train the new Twin Towers there in the racket with Karl-Anthony Towns. Unfortunately, the latter has only played 21 games this season, even being on the flank since the end of November. But that’s not the only problem with triple DPOY…

Because not only are the Timberwolves struggling with a barely balanced record (32 wins for 32 losses, 8th in the West), but the star of the Blues is really not to his advantage. His 13.4 points, 11.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks average are well below expectations and to make matters worse, his relationship with his teammates is not perfect. D’Angelo Russell before his trade was the perfect example.

LeBron James admires Naz Reid, rivals Gobert

Not only that, the former pivot of the Jazz sees the competition for his position progressing more and more in the person of Naz Reid. Only 11 times holder this year, the latter however benefits from it each time with in particular a peak at 30 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals recently against the Warriors. Praises are raining down everywhere, including from LeBron James who did not hide his enthusiasm:

Naz Reid is sooooo good!!

This is not to reassure Gobzilla… Of course, it is not for now that we can expect a change in the rotation, if only because of the Habs contract. But if this dynamic continues, then it really wouldn’t be to solidify his status with Wolves. Especially since Reid continues to perform well as in the last victory of his team:

Naz Reid continues to wow the gallery in 2022-23 to the point where even LeBron James has made his admiration for the interior known. If it continues like this, Rudy Gobert risks being more and more weakened despite his superstar status in Minnesota…
