Denmark’s footballers take advantage at the end of the game and lose sensationally to Kazakhstan

Denmark, the semi-finalists of the previous championships, lost to Kazakhstan 2-3 (2-0) on the road, although they were still in the lead five minutes before the end of regular time.

In the 21st minute of the match, the 20-year-old striker of Bergamo “Atalanta” Hejlunds played well with his height, gained control over the ball and transferred it over the opponent’s goalkeeper after a long pass by Simon Kier. After 15 minutes, the Danes persistently played the opponent in the penalty area, Hejlund made it 2-0 with a shot from close range.

In subgroup H, four teams have three points each – Northern Ireland and Slovenia, who played one match, as well as Denmark and Kazakhstan, who played two duels. Finland and San Marino remained without points in their first games.

The winners of the first two places of the ten groups will enter the final tournament, while three more participants of the final tournament will be determined in March 2024 in the “play-off” games of the A, B and C leagues of the Nations League.

The European Championship will be held in ten German cities from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
