DEL-Klub Löwen Frankfurt – Separation from repeat offender Olsen – Sport

Promoted Löwen Frankfurt has reacted to the renewed ban for his ice hockey bully Ryan Olsen and released the Canadian with immediate effect. The club from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced this on Monday. After a “reckless” stabbing in the pre-play-off against the Düsseldorfer EG, Olsen was suspended for ten games by the disciplinary committee as “multiple repeat offenders”. It was the third suspension for the 28-year-old. The lions cited not only the brutal foul as a reason, but also his “subsequent unacceptable behavior off the ice”. The contract ends on April 30th. According to media reports, Olsen should switch to the Eisbären Berlin. There, however, criticism of a possible obligation is great. Already in the main round, Olsen was the most unfair player in the DEL with 91 penalty minutes.
