RSC Anderlecht managed to get into the top eight this weekend. The victory at Villarreal clearly gives Brian Riemer’s team a boost, although the team is also driven by some strong individuals such as Bart Verbruggen and Islam Slimani.
On the other hand you have Club Brugge. They lost their fourth place in the ranking of the Jupiler Pro League this weekend to KAA Gent. The people of Bruges no longer have their fate in their own hands.
A special observation for Marc Degryse. “Imagine that Club Brugge and Anderlecht will be together in the Europe Play-offs… If you had predicted that before the season, they would have declared you crazy. And yet it could be done just like that,” he says in Het Laatste Nieuws.
