Castillo, Duarte Province – This Thursday, March 30, begins the Castillo Municipal Basketball Tournament (TBM Castillo) in its version number 26.
The event, which will take place in the municipality of Castillo, has the participation of the four traditional clubs in the area. In addition, the inauguration of the tournament will be dedicated to the Director of INAPA, Wellington Arnaudwho will receive a plaque of recognition during the ceremony.
The tournament, which will last several weeks, will deliver the Cup Franklin Romero to the champion team. Senator Franklin Romero has sponsored the event and will present the cup in his name during the opening ceremony.
The tournament’s opening ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm and will be brief, followed by two exciting basketball games. The first confrontation will be between the teams from San Isidro and Barrio Sur, while the closing of the event will be between the teams from Pueblo Abajo and San Antonio.
The president of the organizing committee, Mayor Alberto Quiroz, has invited the authorities of the Duarte province to attend the event. A large attendance of fans and supporters of the participating teams is expected.
This basketball tournament is a great opportunity for area youth to showcase their talent and skills on the court, and for the community to come together and celebrate a major local sporting event.
