This sponsor leaves Ferrari and goes back to Mercedes

With the 2023 Formula 1 season starting in just over a week at preseason testing in Bahrain, Formula 1 liveries and helmet designs are pouring into the world. Attracting or saying goodbye to sponsors is also part of the preparation period for the royal class. Computer processor manufacturer Snapdragon has at least completed its team musical chairs for 2023.

During the launches of the Formula 1 cars for this upcoming season, it is easy to see that the sport is continuing to grow enormously. Especially with the ever-increasing hype within the United States, it seems that the world of Formula 1 is far from finished with its growth spurt.

Almost all Formula 1 cars shown are covered with sponsors. Large company names such as Shell, Coca Cola, Google and Aramco are now closely associated with Formula 1. Snapdragon, the producer of processors, will also remain within Formula 1, although it will leave Ferrari’s nest for this coming year to return to its ‘old love’ of Mercedes, Twitter account @decalspotters notes.

The company, which is part of Qualcomm, was a partner of the British racing team from 2015 to 2019, where it returned to Formula 1 after a two-year break by finishing on Ferrari’s partner list. This cooperation only lasted one year, as both parties decided not to renew the partnership. Now Snapdragon is back with the Mercedes Formula 1 team.
