The Department of Sports of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura collaborates with the insular delegation of the Canary Islands Badminton Federation in the celebration of the Insular Badminton Championship that will take place this weekend on the island. The Majorera institution will coordinate the participation and movement of the expeditions that will represent Fuerteventura in these appointments.
The sports hall of the IES Vigán de Gran Tarajal will be the location chosen to become the headquarters of the Insular Badminton Championship, whose first day will start at 09:00 in the morning of next Saturday, February 4, with the children’s category (Under 15 ).
For its part, in the morning session on Sunday, February 5, it will be the cadet category (Sub17) that will have the opportunity to give their best racket shots.
A competition that will be organized by the island delegation of the Canary Islands Badminton Federation, in the female and male individual modalities, and will qualify for the 2023 Canary Islands School-age Sports Championship in the same categories, scheduled for the month of May.
The General Directorate of Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands organizes the XL edition of the Canary Islands Sports Championships for school age, the highest regional competition at this level, with which it continues to promote equal conditions and sport among young people from the Canary Islands, while that the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through the Department of Sports, coordinates the participation and displacement of the expeditions that will represent Fuerteventura, in these appointments.
