A year-old Sven Kums had only one clear message for the Eleven Sports cameras after the whistle: “Incomprehensible”
Gent captain Sven Kums admitted that the fatigue was still in the legs, but that the match should have gone differently: “The fatigue did play a role, you noticed that we were having a hard time at times. It comes down to details, that is often in such top games, but I didn’t think we really got into trouble in the second half.”
Kums was not pleased with the match management in Bruges: “We had a hard time in the first five minutes of the first half and they were clearly the better team, but after twenty minutes the game can change completely. It was clearly a red card and then you had a completely different game but he (Buchanan) doesn’t get anything. The penalty is watched for five minutes and that crucial foul is less than five seconds, really incomprehensible.
