South Korea ANNOUNCED OFFICIAL roster to the World Baseball Classic

The list of players who will be with the South Korean team in the World Baseball Classic has been released.

The Korean roster is made up of 30 players. They are split into 15 pitchers and 15 position players. The fundamental base of the squad is the KBO.

In the list of players, the presence of two highly talented figures and a notable absence for the Korean cause stand out.

24-year-old outfielder Jung Ho Lee was the 2022 KBO MVP. Lee is due to make it to MLB for the 2024 season.

Tommy Edman is a player with experience in the Major Leagues, in 2021 he was awarded the Gold Glove. He had a good last year offensively with more than 150 hits and 30 stolen bases for the Cardinals.

For another aspect, the player Ji Man Choi was excluded from the World Classic for medical reasons argued by his MLB organization, Pittsburgh Pirates.

South Korea is located in Group B of the World Classic. This key will be held in Japan, a team that will share a group with the Koreans. In addition, the teams from Australia, China and the Czech Republic appear in this group.

This list is subject to modifications until March 7, when the definitive rosters that they will represent in the World Classic will be delivered.
