Muhammed-Cham Saracevic is back on track at Clermont Foot.
After a somewhat difficult phase at the turn of the year, the 22-year-old has returned to the starting XI of the French first division club. Coach Pascal Gastien allowed the offensive player to play from the start in the last four league games. However, Clermont remained winless and goalless at this point, slipping from eighth to twelfth place.
Nevertheless, Cham can of course calculate chances of being part of Ralf Rangnick’s next ÖFB squad again.
Rangnick an important reason
It is not a matter of course that the French legionnaire will play for Austria’s national team at all. In an interview on the French Ligue 1 website, he reveals: “The associations of Senegal, my father’s homeland, and Gambia, where my mother comes from, contacted me. But I was sure that I would play for Austria want.” Addendum: “I have the feeling that team boss Ralf Rangnick is developing me further.”
