Under the initiative of the Sports Development Department of the Barinas State Regional Sports Institute (Irdeb), badminton classes and practices began with the mission of developing as well as promoting the sport of rackets and shuttlecocks within the framework of the association activation and rescue plan.
The Irdeb sports promoter Jhonny Iturriza has been in charge of the training process that takes place 4 days a week from 4:30 in the afternoon to 6 in the field tennis court complex located in front of the Sports City Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho in Alto Barinas, with the positive incentive that classes are free.

The purpose of achieving a process of sports massification, is oriented to the organization of clubs and teams for a nascent badminton association, which over time will be nourished by the best athletes so that they attend the different national events endorsed by the Venezuelan Federation. , it should be noted that this sports discipline enters among those of the Olympic cycle.
