Montpellier without Leroy against Lens

The MHSC will have to do without the 23-year-old midfielder this Saturday against Sang et Or.

Young midfielder Léo Leroy, hit in the thigh, is unavailable to play Saturday against Lens during the 25th day of Ligue 1.

Leroy (23), who underwent medical examinations on Wednesday morning, “is out because of his thigh problem”, according to new coach Michel Der Zakarian.

He did not specify the duration of the unavailability of the player who has just played nine of the last ten matches as a starter and was injured during the Hérault success (1-0) in Troyes on Sunday.

With Leroy’s injury and the suspension of Téji Savanier, excluded from the Aube stadium, the new technician will have to recompose his midfield to face Northerners, who are in 4th place.

Montpellier, for its part, occupies the 14th place in Ligue 1 with seven points ahead of the first relegated, Troyes.
