Dominican Confederation celebrates Judo Foundation Day in Japan

Santo Domingo Dominican Republic.– On what is the National Day of the Foundation of Japan every February 11, the Dominican Judo Confederation, Condojudo, carried out a series of activities to commemorate this date of the birth of the Empire of the Rising Sun and the Kingdom of Chrysanthemum.

And it is that Japan bequeathed Judo to humanity in 1882 through the great humanist Jigoro Kano, the first member of the International Olympic Committee of this nation, in a discipline that was originally a martial art to become an Olympic sport in the XVIII Games Tokyo 1964 Olympics.

The Day of the National Foundation and the imperial family is known in the native language as kenkoku kinen-bi or Kenkoku Kinen-no-hi, which also commemorates its legendary first emperor Jinmu and that legend tells us that he established the imperial capital in Yamato for the year 660 BC

On National Day of the Foundation of Japan, patriotism and love for the country are expressed by holding large parades and festivals and raising flags.

At the local level, the representatives of the Condojudo in the city of San Francisco de Macoris with Professor Wilson de León at the head, held a ceremony where the date that corresponds to the National Day of the Foundation of Japan was motivated and an intramural training and exchange where a significant number of athletes participated including Joel Omar Ureña, Vladislav Ryabinin, Jarbel Brito, Luis Ventura, Poncio Rafael Landron, Justin Matrille, Rafy Veloz, Reynaldo Concepcion and Limberlin Cabrera.

On the other hand, the Condojudo affiliate of the city of San Pedro de Macoris, under the direction of the architect Juan Eligió Barcelo, community leader and brush artist, produced a painting alluding to the celebration of the National Day of the Foundation of Japan.

In the same way, the lawyer Jose Rafael Suarez and the engineer Jaime Casanova Martinez in their
Conditions of president of the Condojudo and the Pan American Judo Union, respectively, were used in the dissemination of the National Day of the Foundation of Japan to the affiliated organizations by the different mass media.

The Condojudo follows the guidelines of its higher bodies, being in America the Pan American Judo Union (UPJ) and worldwide the World Judo Federation (WJF).
