For Boris Becker, the year 2023 should be a new beginning. After the 55-year-old was released from custody in London in December, he returned to Germany. In January he commented on the Australian Open from Munich for the TV station Eurosport – and received praise from many tennis fans. Of course, Boris Becker is now also visiting his hometown of Leimen – as an Instagram post on Monday (February 6) shows.

Becker shares two photos on the social media platform. On the one hand, the former Wimbledon champion visited his former club Blau-Weiss Leimen. “I was 3 years old when my father took me to my very first tennis club. It’s nice to be where it all started,” writes the sports legend, who is currently in a relationship with Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro.
The second photo particularly delights his fans. Because: Boris Becker can be seen on it together with his mother Elvira Pisch in their living room in the family house in Leimen. Both seem relaxed and happy. In addition to many likes, the Leimen photos also receive numerous comments. Just last weekend Boris Becker visited the Davis Cup in Trier.

Her son’s imprisonment was particularly hard for Elvira Pisch – as Boris Becker reveals in a large Sat.1 interview in December.
“I told her I was fine. She said she loves me and misses me,” Becker describes a phone call on Mother’s Day. “I calmed her down, but I lied about it. It was dangerous and I wanted to calm her down. It was an important call for her because she heard my voice.”

Now Boris Becker is reunited with his mother. Even before his time in prison, the former tennis star kept visiting his hometown of Leimen. On January 31, 2022, Becker posted a video showing him in front of the town sign. “It was always nice to have been in the large district town of Leimen,” he commented at the time.
