Olympique Lyonnais, already owner of a club in the United States, is now expanding into Mexico, to form a tripartite with Club America.

Olympique Lyonnais extends its domination to the whole world. The club led by Jean-Michel Aulas and 15 times French champion is heading to Mexico. After acquiring the Seattle club, now named OL Reign, the French club signed a unique partnership with Club America in Mexico.

This Tuesday, the Lyon club announced a unique agreement in the world of women’s football with a partnership between these three clubs, aimed at sharing skills and networks. “This global partnership with Club América is not only meaningful for our clubs, but also for our sport.“, declared Nick Perera, manager of OL Reign. The American club and the Mexican club will meet in Seattle on February 25 for a friendly match.

After a positive experience with the club in the western United States, since several Lyonnaises had freelanced there, OL are now renewing the experience with an entity based in Mexico City, comprising women’s and men’s teams.
