worst record in the NBA, RIP the fans…

One more night in the NBA, one more opportunity for the Hornets to make a fool of themselves. Although clearly not the favorites when they met against the Grizzlies tonight, LaMelo Ball’s friends were upset. Without a competitive spirit, without interest in the game, these boys don’t give the impression of wanting to hoe basketball. Simply.

Every year there is a king of tanking.

A team that separates itself from the lot, and that loses in abundance, with style. This season, we are entitled to beautiful candidates, between the Rockets, the Spurs, the Pistons or the Hornets.

However, in the category of losers, there are those who do it well, and those who do it extremely badly. How bad? Bad in the bad sense, in the sense without giving the impression of being interested, of giving oneself, of having axes of progression. Evil in the sense so obvious on the pitch that fans can feel like they’re being taken for a moron.

And the Hornets, clearly, are taking pole position in this race of shame.

So why shoot them down publicly, knowing that they have logically just lost against Memphis, one of the very best teams in the NBA?

In itself, nothing surprising, nobody of holy spirit dared to think that Charlotte would win this match (except the legend of Wednesday).

Except that this kind of sequence is a bit like icing on a cake.

The whole basketball world talked about this action, as a symbol of the Hornets’ disinterest.

And this one cannot be isolated, because it is in the logical continuation of an approach which is to be thrown into oblivion.

Losing is one thing, but losing without a fight and giving the image of a dysfunctional franchise is the next level.

The Pistons, for example, try to fight on certain nights. Proof being this night in Golden State, winning the match at the buzzer on a huge shot signed Saddiq Bey. Perhaps not the result hoped for by the management of Detroit, but the facts are there: in a tense money-time, the friends of Killian Hayes gritted their teeth and went to coal, without giving up.

The Spurs are the only ones who can really compete with the Hornets in this race, they who take gusts of 20 to 30 points in the mouth.

But not only does San Antonio have a better record, Gregg Popovich’s boys don’t have the talent of Charlotte’s squad, nor their experience.

We’re talking about the Hornets getting wrecked in style, having LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Mason Plumlee and PJ Washington on the field, to name a few. Not future Hall of Famers, but players who know the NBA. Who have had victories, and therefore matches with interest. The ? We have the impression of seeing Charlotte trotting, without being interested in victory.

As if it was enough to show up at the room then take the check, calmly.

Who knows what record the Hornets will have at the end of the season, as long as they are well placed in the 2023 Draft. What is this rant for, suddenly? Well, help the Charlotte fans, Steve Clifford, and those who will be watching them play in the coming weeks. Go ahead, but with a lot of moderation.
