Chelsea continue to upgrade their offensive. After David Fofana and Joao Felix, Mykhaylo Mudryk amplifies the blues. The top talent already seemed to be in agreement with Arsenal, but is now switching to city rivals. In the summer, the Ukrainian had already duped Bayer Leverkusen.
VMaybe they should ask in Leverkusen in the coming days, after all, a sorrow shared is a sorrow halved. According to media reports, Mykhaylo Mudryk’s move to Arsenal was almost certain. And indeed, the path of the highly gifted now leads to the Premier League. However, it is not the north Londoners but Chelsea who are imminent to sign the top Ukrainian talent.
In the spring and summer, Bayer Leverkusen tried hard to get the 22-year-old to move, but were unable to finalize the transfer despite well-advanced talks. Rather, those responsible were irritated by the constantly new negotiating tactics and demands of the Ukrainians. The negotiations dragged on for more than three months, including sentences like this: “I’ve decided that this is the only club I want to switch to,” Mudryk said at the end of May with a view to Leverkusen.
From Donetsk’s point of view, however, the hesitation has now paid off. The Bundesliga club was ready to transfer a fee of up to 20 million euros to Ukraine. Chelsea’s move is worth up to 100 million euros. The club of the German national player Kai Havertz has already confirmed the negotiations with Shakhtar Donetsk about the conditions. The Ukrainian first division club also announced that both parties were close to an agreement. In addition to a base amount of 70 million euros, another 30 million euros in possible bonuses are to be added. Mudryk should receive a seven-year contract and the medical check should be carried out promptly, it said.
Kai Havertz before saying goodbye?
Arsenal FC had also guaranteed 70 million, but allegedly offered five to ten million euros less due to the variable size. A trifle given the total volume. But that was apparently decisive in order to bring the player to West London.
Arsenal are the losers in this race. The blues around their new German squad planner Christopher Vivell, who was previously employed by RB Leipzig, continue to upgrade their offensive.

Chelsea had also loaned Portugal striker Joao Felix (23) from Atlético Madrid after signing attacker David Fofana (20), central defender Benoit Badiashile (21) and midfielder Andrey Santos (18). When the deal is officially through, Chelsea manager Graham Potter (47) has another option.
Most recently he had to cope with the injury from former Dortmund player Christian Pulisic (24). The American suffered a knee injury and will likely be out for months. In addition, according to “The Telegraph”, he should be part of a trio that should leave the club. As a result, also on the hit list: Kai Havertz (23) and Hakim Ziyech (29).
