With renewed illusions, the eastern squad had its official presentation yesterday. The Misiones team will once again be part of the 2023 Federal League that will start in a week.

The appointment took place in the eastern temple, in the Jorge Yamaguchi stadium with the players, coaching staff and leaders as protagonists. Many who came to add this season and others who returned wanting revenge.

The first to take the post was the president of the institution, Nicolás Fulquet, thanking the people who were present on Thursday afternoon, he was also very excited about a new participation of the club in the most Federal tournament in the country. “For the seventh time we will be part of the Federal League, we feel enormous pride as a club to be able to be there again, the team really wants it, they are guys who want everything and above all they have a good heart,” said Fulquet.

As for the squad, the four biggest players will be Santiago González, Ariel Romero, Matias Nuñez and Daniel Tabbia. The U23 will be Mateo Viana, Leonardo Sanabria and Facundo Texeira. While Lucas Landi, Imanol Flores and Valentino Gallardo make up the U21 tabs. The squad is completed by youth players Thiago Viernickel, Felipe Zunino, Pedro Pedrozo, Santiago González, Eduadro Barlocchi, Santino Jacobacci and Andrés Martínez.

The eastern machine will be led for the third consecutive season by Agustín Ponissi, who spoke about the expectations they have in the run-up to the tournament. “For this season we have been working since the first days of January, it is an atypical season because it is shorter. That is why we plan with the teachers the necessary content for this preseason that is about to end”, mentioned the coach. In addition, he referred to the team: “We are very happy with the squad, it is a competitive group, now we are finalizing details for the debut against a great rival like Sarmiento de Formosa.”

The season that will have 101 teams will officially start on January 28, but the eastern machine will debut on Monday, February 6 at the Yamaguchi against Sarmiento de Formosa.
