The former player of Lleida, Vila-real or Salamancaamong others, Gerard Escoda, has died victim of a long illness at the age of fifty. Once retired as a footballer, the I refuse worked in the sports management of several clubs, among which the Girona, where he joined in January 2014 thanks to Oriol Alsina. In June of the same year he became the technical secretary of the Lobster with whom he lived the golden stage of the club until 2019. Until December he held the position of chief sports officer at Sabadell.
