The GO Play kick-off was organized for the sixth time by Buurtsportcoach Team Waalwijk, in collaboration with associations and organizations from the municipality of Waalwijk and GO Waalwijk. Co-organizer and neighborhood sports coach Maarten Brugmans looks back on a successful day: “The kick-off is always a great start to the new year! The children went through a program in which they participated in four different activities. Including kickboxing with Team Van der Stam, handball with Tachos, table tennis with TTV Waalwijk, badminton with FST Waalwijk, basketball with the Langstraat Shooters, volleyball with ATAK’55, judo with Asahi and breakdance with Vijay from Kunstencentrum Waalwijk. It was very nice to see how all the children enjoyed themselves. The fact that mascot Sjors Sportief also participated made the party complete.”
