Shooter Jágr for almost 200 thousand! The Knights auctioned off a record amount of retro jerseys

The jersey of the playing Kladno owner, who joined Mrs. Poldi after 29 long years, ended up costing more than a third of the total amount collected. The resulting sum exceeded half a million, namely 501,023 crowns.

“The Knights played the first game of the year in a retro kit. Unfortunately, they lost against Pilsen, but Jaromír Jágr scored the first goal of the year. And collectors definitely appreciated that. Thank you all very much,” said press spokesman Lukáš Jůdl for the club’s website.

There was also great interest in captain Tomáš Plekanec, who recorded Jágro’s goal in the 3:4 loss, the price of the jersey stopped at 53,400 crowns. And although the current under-20 world vice-champion Jiří Ticháček did not participate, his jersey fetched 26,700 crowns.

Proceeds from the auction, which ended on Tuesday evening, will go to the club’s Knights Foundation account, from where the amount will be distributed to those in need.

Kladno has held several auctions in the past, but the record so far was the amount for an original match kit from the 2019/2020 season, which reached 304,000 crowns.
