Racing adds reinforcements for the Federal basketball

The first men’s basketball team from Club Racing de Trelew to get ready to participate in the 2023 Federal Basketball League, continues adding reinforcements for the competition that will begin on January 28.

After learning the news of the hiring of Bruno Echegaray as Technical Director, the Academy began to assemble the team that will represent them in the South Zone of the national contest.

The first additions were confirmed to this medium by Ariel Gibbon, Racing’s basketball manager, such as Base Sebastián Regulsky (he will continue in the first team after his performance in the Pre-Federal); the return of pivot Emiliano Capaccioni (he also played the Pre-Federal for Ferro) and forward Joaquin Cabré, from Estudiantes de Santa Rosa – La Pampa.

They are now joined by Alejandro Astudillo, from Los Andes de Loma de Zamora; Francisco del Canto (U23) from La Plata Neighborhood Union and Ricky Pinon from Rosario Sportsmen.

In addition, Nicolás Sánchez, Matías Nahuelquin, Gonzalo Moreira and Benjamin Balls (U21) continue.

Let us remember that the Academy is part of the Southern Conference of the Federal League together with the clubs: Brown from Puerto Madryn, Ferrocarril Patagonico, Zorros de San Martín de Los Andes, Centro Español de Plottier, Independiente, Pérfora, Biguá, Petrolero, Pacífico and Unión de Colorado River from Rio Negro.

TRAINING BEGINS

As of next Monday, the squad, without the reinforcements since they will be added in the coming days, will begin with double shift training.

The appointment will be at 8 in the morning in the academic gym “Juan Fernández” and will last until 10. Then at night from 9 to 10:45 p.m. This will be repeated on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. While on Wednesday they will move from 8 to 10 in the morning.

Let’s remember that Bruno Echegaray will accompany him in the coaching staff, Adrián “Colo” Luján (1st assistant), Belkys Echegaray (Video Editing), Tomás Diez (Technification), Agostina Bilancioni (Statistics) and Julián Ibarra (Physical Preparation).

The third category of Argentine basketball continues to take shape for its 2023 edition. The most federal tournament in the country will have representation from 17 provinces and a total of 96 participating clubs throughout the country. 128 places were granted and at the moment this is the number of confirmed clubs.

Through its Competition Department, the CAB divided the participants into a total of eight conferences: Southeast, South, Metropolitan, Coastal, Center, Cuyo, NOA and NEA.

It should be noted that Metropolitan, Litoral and Centro will have two zones each. In the next few hours the dispute format of each conference will be confirmed.
