Troubled waters in these days of celebration for the dem majority in the Capitol. Twelve councilors of the Democratic Partyrepresentatives attributable to Areadem and to the former governor of Lazio Nicola Zingarettiin recent days they have taken part in a secret summit to formally request a meeting at Mayor Gualtieria meeting which in fact, however, seals an iron pact between the two currents.
A meeting, the one held in recent days, which has caused quite a few irritations among the other exponents of the Dem majority and among the allies in the Capitol, such as those of the Gualtieri Civic List.
Carmine Barbati, councilor of the Civic list, underlined that “there is a need for unity because citizens are not interested in controversies between factions, parties or groups, but only want results”. In particular, the activism of the so-called “Zagarolo current“, animated by the couple dem Antonio Stampete and Yuri Trombettitwo councilors linked to Daniele Leodorihistoric exponent of the PD of the province of Rome who until a few months ago was given for certain as a candidate for the Pisana.
Movements which, according to sources in the Giulio Cesare Hall, would be due to logics of repositioning between currents in view of the regional elections and the search for preferences as well as the fear of a majority entry of forces such as Action and Italia Viva (who support D’Amato in the Lazio Region) which would upset the balance of Commission presidencies.
These are, therefore, days of fibrillation for some exponents of Palazzo Senatorio on the eve of an electoral round and a congress which, in all likelihood, will go to design new balances in the dem panorama of the capital and the region”.
