The wait for a goal in Třinec lasted almost half an hour until Musil from Pardubice opened the scoring in the 28th minute. The goal-scarce match took a turn in the last part, but only the guests scored three times. The steel players thus recorded their fourth defeat in a row, while the leader from Pardubice, on the other hand, won by three points for the sixth time in a row.
Mladá Boleslav ice hockey players did not score for the first time on the ice of Sparta under the leadership of new coach Jiří Kalous, but on Tuesday they returned to a winning streak. The visiting Olomouc Skaters did not allow a goal to be scored, home goalkeeper Novotný kept a clean sheet for the fourth time this season. Boleslav guided Roman to victory in the 10th minute, and the guests scored the decisive blow within eleven minutes of the third period, when they scored three goals.
The last Kladno, which lost four times in a row and had not yet managed to win at home in January, climbed to the seventh Liberec. The Knights took a two-goal lead already in the opening period, and the Tigers struggled for the rest of the match. They thus lost the opportunity to take the position of sixth Pilsen, Kladno remains hopelessly last.
Four defeats in a row, only two wins from the last twelve games and the penultimate place in the table resonated in the heads of the Brno hockey players before the duel with České Budějovice. However, after an even first half, Kometa bounced back in the second period thanks to two goals by Flek to a two-goal difference, which they managed to defend in the end. The engine slowed down in the third period, but Pospíšil and Flek secured the victory. Motor replaced Brno as the second worst team in the extra league, Kometa improved to tenth place.
The Hradec Králové hockey players were also troubled by defeats in the last four games. In Tuesday’s duel with Karlovy Vary, however, they were more active from the start, they took the lead in the middle part and sealed the victory with two goals in the last third. Thanks to the triumph for three points, Mountfield closes the top eight, West Bohemia is eleventh.
