Official: Anderlecht ends its collaboration with Peter Verbeke

There have been many rumors reporting the news for a few days, it is now official: Anderlecht has ended its collaboration with its CEO Peter Verbeke. The club announced this in a press release.

The RSCA and Peter Verbeke put an end to their collaboration. Peter Verbeke started his career in professional football in 2013 as recruitment coordinator at Club Brugeois. In 2018, he became sports director at KAA Gent before joining the RSCA, as sports director in March 2020. Peter has thus spent the last three years defining our sports line. In January 2022, he became CEO.

In October 2022, however, Peter Verbeke had to stop working for medical reasons. It was finally decided, in November 2022, to appoint Jesper Fredberg like new CEO Sports you RSCA. Kenneth Bornauwinasmuch as CEO Non-Sports, remains responsible for the operational and commercial functioning of the club.

As soon as Peter appeared to have recovered, the club began discussions with him about his future. These talks were mutually respectful and constructive, but they did not lead to an agreement on further cooperation. It was therefore decided to separate. The club has also reached an agreement with Peter Verbeke on the terms of his departure.

Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht would like to express their thanks to Peter for his work over the past few years and wish him the best for the future.

A new change which is therefore added to the many changes of recent weeks in the organization chart of the Mauves… With always the hope of the supporters to see stability and results arrive.
