Novara, sends photos with a knife to his ex-partner, arrested at home with a baseball bat

The agents of the Novara State Police, specifically the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters, arrested a 38-year-old man, allegedly responsible for persecutory acts against of the former partner.

The woman, after having found the courage to report the man’s harassing behavior twice in recent months, which resulted in hundreds of threatening calls and messages per day as well as actual stalking under her home, yesterday afternoon, 24 January, while he was in his home with his minor children, he received a photo from the man showing him in possession of a large switchblade, accompanied by an explicit death threat.


The woman, also realizing that her ex-partner was roaming near her home, then locked herself inside out of fear and immediately contacted the Operations Center to ask for prompt intervention.

The crew who intervened, quickly tracked down the reported subject, subjected both the vehicle and the man to a search. A baseball bat was then found in the trunk, while a box cutter and the flick knife photographed shortly before were found on the alleged offender, hidden in his underwear.

Accompanied to the offices of the Police Headquarters, given the seriousness of the situation and having heard the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the man was arrested in flagrante delicto, who is burdened by numerous specific precedents for crimes against the person. Following the drafting of the ritual documents, he was accompanied to the prison of Novara, where he will await the validation and any measures ordered by the judicial authority.
