Krollis will join Spezia after the Coppa Italia match in Bergamo

The club has not yet officially announced Kroļļ’s joining, but TVNET contacted the Latvian football player, who promised to give an interview once he has settled into his new team.

“La Nazione” writes that Krollis and another new addition to the club, Slovenian midfielder Tio Cipot, met their new teammates on Wednesday and are continuing training according to the physical training coach’s plan.

On Thursday, “Spezia” will meet the players of “Atalanta” Bergamo in the round of 16 of the Italian Cup, and after returning to Spezia, the team will be joined by both young players.

In Serie A, “Spezia” will play its next match on Sunday, when it will meet “AS Roma” at home.

With 18 points in 18 games, the Spezia team is in 15th place in the competition of 20 clubs and in the second half of the season it has to fight for its place in Serie A.

In the previous season, Krollis scored 24 goals and provided five assists in 34 games in the Latvian Football Super League, taking the first place in the list of the league’s best scorers and helping “Valmiera” to win the first championship title in history.

For his performance in 2022, Krollis received four awards at the laureate evening of the Latvian Football Federation (LFF). He was recognized for the third time in a row as the best youth footballer, and for the second time in a row – as the best striker of the Super League season.

He was also awarded the best player and best goal scorer of the Latvian Super League season.

“Valmiera” captain Krollis joined the Vidzeme club before the 2021 season, before that he represented the “Metta” team.

As part of the Latvian national team, Krollis scored three goals in 27 matches.
