First Cross-Country Skiing World Cup: challenge won by Livigno

Livigno successfully overcomes the challenge of the Cross Country Skiing World Cup.

Satisfaction from organizers and authorities. Here are the words of Remo Galli, mayor of Livigno, and Antonio Rossi, Undersecretary for Sport, the 2026 Olympics and Major Events of the Lombardy Region.

Vince Klaebo

Johannes Klaebo and Jonna Sundling won the skating sprint held today, Saturday 21 January 2023, in Little Tibet.

Klaebo confirms his great form in the early stages of 2023, after dominating the Tour de Ski, with six victories in seven races, he won over the Frenchman Richard Jouve, who finished second, and over an extraordinary Janik Riebli, third on his first podium in World Cup of his career. Fourth the Norwegian Paal Golberg, fifth the Swiss Valerio Grond and sixth the French Renaud Jay.

The Italian Federico Pellegrino was eliminated in the semifinals and finished seventh, he missed the final by a few tenths due to a perhaps too passive attitude despite a difficult series of semifinals with formidable opponents (Klaebo and Jouve among others ).

Also eliminated in the quarterfinals were Simone Mocellini, Michael Hellweger, Giovanni Ticco and Davide Graz.
