Uni Girona announced this morning that Laura Cornelius is no longer a player for Bernat Canut’s team. The club has reached one agreement with CBK MersinEuroleague rival, in exchange for one financial compensation for the transfer of the Dutch base. Cornelius takes immediate leave and will not be there tomorrow to face Kangoeroes Mechelen in Fontajau.
“We would like to thank Laura for her willingness, kindness and work she has given us these months. His departure opens up the possibility for us to continue building the best possible team. The club is already moving in the market to cover this loss”, explained the sports director, Laia Palau. Uni does not rule out strengthen the squad to fill the void left by Cornelius.
