The kick-off of the 2022-2023 basketball season (Men and women) will be given this weekend. 14 teams divided into 2 pools will be on the starting grid for this new marathon. Due to the busy schedule of international competitions this year, the Senegalese basketball federation requires strict adherence to the national calendar with the aim of completing the season no later than July 31.

In addition to these two great contenders and great rivals of As Ville for a few seasons, Pool B is completed by ISEG Sport, ASFO, Diamaguène, Mbour BC and Bopp.

Among the men, the debates will be just as tight in the two constituted pools. Reigning champion of the season, AS Douanes is putting its champion trophy back on the line. Competing for the Basketball Africa League (BAL), the customs team is still sharp enough to still play the big roles in this current season. The Gabelous start the marathon on Wednesday January 25 with the duel between them in Pool A and Bopp.
