AThe tournament in Qatar comes to an end on Sunday. And the question arises: What remains of this World Cup? One answer: the stadiums are not. Because some of them should be dismantled. An overview of usage after the World Cup:
974 Stadium: The arena (44,089 seats), named after Qatar’s country code, was assembled from shipping containers. After the seven games that took place there and a fashion show, it should be completely dismantled – and given away to another country. That was the promise before the tournament. Kosovo and Uruguay were last mentioned as candidates. It is also possible to divide the 974 containers and build several stadiums from them. Why the question of subsequent use is still unanswered is an open question. When the stadium is dismantled, a park will be built on the site.
Lusail-Stadion: Even in the arena where the final will be played (88,966 spectators), football will never be played again. The seat shells are to be removed and also donated. Shops, restaurants and maybe even a school and hospital will be built in the stadium.

Al Bayt: The opening match stadium (68,895 seats) faces a similar fate. It is to be reduced to 32,000 seats. A luxury hotel and a shopping mall are to move into the areas that are no longer needed.
Al Thumama
The arena will be reduced from 44,400 to 20,000 seats. Here, too, the expanded seats are to be given away to developing countries, although it is not yet clear to which countries exactly. Football will continue to be played in the stadium itself. However, who should play there is open.

Education City
The stadium will be reduced from 44,667 to 20,000 seats. In the future it will be used for university sports.
Ahmad Bin Ali
Qatari club Al-Rayyan will play their league matches at the 45,023-seat stadium.
Al Janoub
This is where Al-Wakrah will play its home games in the local league. Capacity will be reduced from 44,325 to 20,000.
Khalifa International
In the stadium (45,857 seats) big games will also be played after the World Cup, for example next year’s Asia Cup.
