The Municipal Pavilion of Pinto, a month without an elevator

The elevator of the Sandra Aguilar Municipal Pavilion, in Pinto, carries one month out of service without having proceeded to fix it. The opposition denounces the impossibility of many people to access the bleachers and bathrooms at a time of great activity in the place.

A situation that poses a problem for the normal use of the sports space, with daily activities such as school leagues, judo, karate or futsal championships. The popular ones assure that “in the last days Users have had to be carried among several people to go up and down the stairs” and they denounce having been ignored when asking about repair forecasts. At first it was planned that the traditional meal for the elderly would be held in this sports space, but finally it was decided to choose the Príncipe de Asturias Pavilion as on other occasions.

City Hall sources insure to Madridiario that the notice has already been given to the technical services and that its repair is imminent. “The expense order for the acquisition of the defective elevator plate has already been processed, it was signed last Friday and it is in the possession of the maintenance company”, they confirm. They add that the problem is possibly solved throughout today. In addition, they emphasize that the delay in the repair has been the result of bureaucratic problems in the processing with the maintenance company.

For Solomon Aguado, the next popular candidate for mayor, “this is a sample of the carelessness with which the socialist mayor treats the citizens.” “This is the most vivid example of the incapacity and negligence with which the local government manages our municipality. A month is more than enough time to have solved a situation that prevents many people from free access to the Sandra Aguilar”. In addition, he assures that it is time for the mayor, Juan Diego Ortiz“assume some kind of responsibility for his disastrous management in the City of Pinto.”

From the opposition they point out other deficiencies in the municipal buildings of Pinto, mainly in terms of air conditioning. The rain of the last few days has produced leaks in the Príncipe de Asturias Pavilion covering the center court with buckets. For Aguado, “it is one more example of the poor maintenance of sports facilities by the current government team.”
