Soccer. R1: Plougastel makes the difference in the second half against Guipavas

R1 (9th day). Plougastel FC – GDR Guipavas: 3-0

In a balanced first period, neither team managed to make the difference despite several chances on both sides. After a quarter of an hour of observation, Guipavas was going to be the first to be dangerous, but not enough to worry the local doorman.

In the last seconds of the first period, Toanen thought he would allow the visitors to return to the locker room with a one-goal advantage, but he was flagged offside (45′).

A prolific last half hour

After the break, Plougastel proved to be more and more dangerous and multiplied the chances, enough to shine the visitor goalkeeper, Kervestin (47′, 48′, 52′, 60′). But the inevitable happened when Quemeneur, lonely at the far post, was on the receiving end of a corner from Le Saec, and hit the Guipavas goalkeeper at point-blank range (1-0, 67′). Plougastel was not satisfied with this advance and continued to attack. Hertu, at the conclusion of a great collective action, doubled the bet. The local goalkeeper, with a superb recovery, found Thomas who then crossed for Le Peillet, the latter deviating in one touch for Hertu who had followed well (2-0, 74 ‘). While the locals quietly managed their end of the game, the visitors’ desire to reduce the score left huge spaces in the defense and Plougastel took advantage once again. Crenn inherited a ball that was poorly returned by the Guipavas defence, he eliminated his defender and fired a powerful shot that left the goalkeeper no chance (3-0, 90’+3).

In a match mastered by locals who managed to take the lead in the second period, Plougastel went on to another victory.
