Romans, at the TRI21 Games

Carlos Romanos, head of the Catamarcan Judo Federation, was appointed as director of the Competition in the Judo discipline at the International Championship of the Americas for Athletes with Down Syndrome TRI21 Buenos Aires 2023, from March 20 to 25, at CENARD , in Buenos Aires.

In this way, Romanos, 7th Dan and Olympic referee, will participate in an event organized by the Argentine Sports Federation for Athletes with Down Syndrome (FADASD) and sponsored by the National Sports Secretariat. The event will also qualify for the JUDOWN World Championship to be held in Turkey in 2024.

The invitation to the Argentine Judo Confederation, addressed to the head of the entity Oscar Cassinerio and where Romanos is designated, indicates: “We are writing to you for the purpose of formalizing the designation, as Referents of Judo discipline, by our Institution: Master Carlos Romanos 7th Dan – Olympic referee, president of the Catamarcan Judo Federation and Professor Hugo Roberto Bensi 5th Dan, also belonging to that provincial Federation”.

Then, he adds that “for reasons of international regulatory requirements, based on his rank and vast experience in sports and disabilities, it is stated: that the aforementioned Master Lic. Carlos Romanos, is also appointed: Director of the Competition in the Judo Discipline , which will take place at the TRI21 Bs. As. – 2023 American Games, from March 20 to 25, at CENARD, organized by our Federation and sponsored by the National Sports Secretariat. The Sub-direction, coordination of the event, will be in charge of Professor Hugo Bensi”.
