Millions Dodgers will pay Bauer if he cuts roster

After being notified that the ruling had come out in his favor after appealing the punishment that MLB had imposed on him for an alleged sexual assault on a lady, Trevor Bauer has already green light to rejoin Dodgers and play the 2023 season. This Thursday night, it was announced at the last minute that the 324-game suspension that the league gave to the right-handed starting pitcher, a judge reduced it to 194 games, which he has already served in full.

Everything seems to indicate that the Dodgers have zero intention of keeping the controversial pitcher on their roster, because according to information from several specialist reporters, the Los Angeles team plans to release him, with everything and the 32 million dollars that the Californian team will have to pay him if he decides to cut ties with him. It should be noted that the Dodgers have until January 6 as the deadline to decide Bauer’s future, that is, if he adds him to his starting rotation, or leaves him free to sign with another organization.

It is important to remember that during the 2021 season, Bauer was accused of physically and sexually assaulting a Californian girl, who even filed a legal claim against him, which failed to prosper due to lack of evidence towards the Cy Young Award winner in the 2020 with the Cincinnati Reds.

Bauer did not pitch this year because he was still serving the suspension imposed on him by Major League Baseball, the same one that this December 22 was shortened after the ruling in favor received.
