Pilsen – Olomouc 5:4, the Indians beat Hanáky in a wild shootout and celebrate their sixth win in a row

The home team, despite their offensive efforts, could not overcome the guests’ solid defense for a long time. Olomouc goalkeeper Konrád seriously interfered only in the 11th minute against Suchý’s finish from close range after Budík’s action.

Less than three minutes after that, the home team Baránek allowed himself to be sent off and after a simple action, Orsav turned the score to 3:2 with a comfortable finish. The Indians were hampered by combinational inaccuracy in their attempt to equalize, but just 13 seconds before the second siren, Konrád was surprised by a shot from the blue line to make it 3:3 by the festive scorer Houdek.

The guests started the final third more actively, but gradually the game evened out. In the 49th minute, Knotek took advantage of an unsuccessful substitution by the home team, who after a pass from Káni finished face-to-face with Svobod with a backhand.

But four minutes later, Suchý tapped the puck to a free Holešinský and he tied the score at 4:4 with an early swing from the right circle. The shaken visitors conceded a fifth goal in 67 seconds, when Schleiss sent a Báránka bomb into the net after Konrád knocked it out.

The Roosters’ attempt to make a final attack was complicated by a foul from Kaň, but in a game without a goalkeeper, Svoboda still had to eliminate Knotek’s dangerous attempt from an angle. Olomouc lost to their opponent for the fifth time out of the last six matches.
