On Friday, Rink and Vitaly Yegorov won the doubles team matches.

The rink was also undefeated in the World Junior Cup stage, convincingly winning both races. He beat second-place finisher Noah Callan of Austria by 0.548 seconds over the two runs, while third-place finisher Alex Guffler of Italy beat him by 0.572 seconds.

On the other hand, Roberts Dreimanis took the 33rd and 26th place in the races, but overall he had the last, 33rd position and a deficit of 14.850 seconds against Rinka. Dreimanis was in 24th position in the European Junior Championship.

The European Junior Championships ended with the relay competition, which was won by Germany’s young luge riders, completing the course in two minutes and 2.372 seconds.

With a deficit of 0.561 seconds, the Latvians took the second place among eight teams in the World Cup standings and seven national teams in the European Championship ranking.

Previously, athletes of both age groups competed in one stage of the World Cup with a saturated competition schedule. Starting this season, 19- to 21-year-old lugers compete individually in the Junior World Cup, while 14- to 18-year-old athletes compete in the Continental Cup.
