Standing shooting prevents Bendika from moving up in the chase – Winter sports – Sportacentrs.com

• Baiba Bendika, who won the 25th place in the sprint, started one minute behind the leader in the chase.

• After the prone shooting, the Latvian biathlete had moved up three positions with one mistake, but the standing shooting ruined her hopes.

• Standing in the first line of fire, Bendika missed two targets that cost him eight positions and made another mistake in the follow-up.

• In shooting, Bendika was the 26th fastest, and in skiing, the Latvian had the 34th fastest step.

• Swedish biathlete Elvīra Eberja became the winner of the pursuit, who was the only one of the leaders to shoot perfectly – 20 out of 20.

• Eberia finished eighth in Friday’s sprint, and today she took the track 34 seconds behind Anna Magnusson.

• Magnuson missed just one goal, but the Swedish biathlete lacked speed and did not even make the top ten (13th place).

• Silver was won by Liza Vitozzi from Italy, and the bronze in the hands of the home team – Gilia Simona completed the podium.
