Herstal: a judo champion teaches students to fall without hurting themselves

The pupils of the primary schools of Herstal had the chance to meet Cédric Taymans, the former vice-champion of Europe and the World of Judo.

The students practiced falling without hurting themselves. Valuable learning when you know that more than 56% of accidents at school take place in playgrounds.

When you fall, you often have the bad reflex of catching yourself with your hands. With the speed of the fall, the whole weight of the body is absorbed in the wrists, elbows, shoulders.

Whereas when you fall well, you hurt yourself less.

The little tricks offered by our champion are quite simple to reproduce. You just have to practice a little. On soft ground so as not to injure yourself of course.
