French Football Federation files a complaint after racist insults | 2022 football world cup

The French Football Federation (FFF) has condemned the whole series of “racist and hateful messages” that appeared online against players of the French team after the lost World Cup final against Argentina. The FFF has also announced that it will file a complaint.

“After the World Cup final, several players of the French team were the subject of unacceptable racist and hateful comments on social media. The FFF condemns these posts and will file a complaint against the authors,” the French Football Federation wrote on Twitter.

France lost the final in Qatar on Sunday after penalties (4-2, 2-2 after 90 minutes and 3-3 after extra time) to Argentina.

Several French players, such as Kingsley Coman and Aurélien Tchouaméni who missed their penalty kick, were subsequently racially insulted online.
