The Sabiñánigo Sports Sector Council has awarded the 2022 local sports awards that They will be delivered at the gala that will take place on January 27 at the La Colina Auditorium.
After the end of the period for the presentation of candidacies by sports clubs and associations, the Sports Sector Council has met to award these awards. This year the winners are Francho Rufas (Archery) and Marta Vidal (Mountain races) as the best athletes. Promising Javier Alamañac (Athletics), Jimena Artero (Skiing) and Leire Ramón (Athletics). The prize for the team or collective of the year will be given to Fútbol Base AD Sabiñánigo and the one that corresponds to the sporting career will be received by Fernando Fañanás (Cycling). There is a special mention for Marco Calvo (Football) and the prize for human values, given by the Sports Press Association of Huesca, will be received by the “Santa Ana” College.
The objective of these awards is to recognize the work and merits of athletes, coaches, managers, groups, clubs and associations that have favored the development of local sports in Sabiñánigo.
The Councilor for Sports and president of the Sports Sector Council, Carlos Allué, thanks the clubs and associations “for transmitting the candidates to us. From the City Council and the Council we want to convey our congratulations to all the winners. We hope that the Sabiñánigo sports gala will be the sports festival of our municipality and that local athletes continue to stand out in their disciplines, not only in Sabiñánigo but at the regional, national, international and even world level, as has been the case this year in Franco Rufas”.
