Dunhill Championship: Victory for Ockie Strydom, David Ravetto 9th

After a first Top 30 two weeks ago in Johannesburg, David Ravetto ideally continues his start to the first season on the DP Word. After two first laps at the forefront (67-67) then a decline on Saturday (73), the Parisian managed to obtain, on Sunday at Malelane, his first career Top 10 at the highest European level.

The 24-year-old right-hander returned a final card of 69 on the Leopard Creek course, enough to move from 10th place to 9th in his 3rd tournament played this season. His total of -12 places him two strokes behind 4th place, occupied by Aaron Cockerill and Oliver Bekker. Ravetto thus climbs to 33rd place in the European rankings, led by Thriston Lawrence.

The victory finally went to local Ockie Strydom, who with a -4 on the return and a last in 69 managed to keep two lengths ahead of Adrian Otaegui (68, -16). This is the first victory at this level for the 384th player in the world, who was able to perfectly digest his double-bogey at hole number 9 before containing the return of the Spaniard.
