Arduous days of the so-called “white sport” are recorded in the activity of the group stage (first round) of the Oaxaca 2022 Championship, which is based on the courts of the Brenamiel Tennis Club.
The contest that brings together 92 racket players is played in this first phase under the round robin modality and in duels of the highest category Jesús Sánchez began by imposing his hierarchy and defeated Luis Salvachúa without problems to the sound of 6-0 and 6-0.
While Marco Antonio Sánchez passed Víctor Rodríguez 6-3 and 6-0, in group A actions.
Bruno García also gave an account of Jesús Cruz and David Castrejón in two sleeves; Noé Jiménez beat Cruz 6-3 and 6-3, in duels in sector B.
Meanwhile, in group C matches, Luis Castellanos achieved a vibrant victory in three sets against Ricardo Mayrén, with chapters of 6-2, 3-6 and 10-7.
And also in another closed and exciting clash he defeated Pablo Cruz, with partial scores of 2-6, 6-3 and 10-6.
A tight battle and full of suspense was recorded at the start of the hostilities in sector four in the search to be located in the first or second place that represents the pass to the next round.
And it is that Lauren Cardoso defeated Kevin Castrejón in three episodes, with figures of 6-2, 2-6 and 10-5, while Alexis Sánchez submitted to Nelson Hernández with chapters of 3-6, 6-1 and 10- 5.
It is played in eight categories, of which four are from the men’s branch and the same number from the women’s.
The game actions will continue this Sunday and throughout the week there will be matches of this group round, so that next weekend the direct elimination contest -quarterfinals- will take place.
