Big short show in Qatar with Trump’s son-in-law

Not only Elon Musk was at the World Cup final at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar on Sunday – ex-Chancellor Sebastian Kurz also cavorted in the stands with Trump confidant Jared Kushner.

The Qataris had already provided for a celebrity parade before the World Cup final – but on Sunday it was really big. A prominent Austrian was also in the thick of it: Ex-Chancellor Sebastian Kurz ran into the son-in-law of ex-US President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, of all people. The two know each other from Kurz’s visit to the White House. They were seen side by side in Qatar on Sunday – Kurz himself posted the photo.

The richest man in the world was also in the stands: Elon Musk is currently having troubles with his new acquisition Twitter, and he was able to relax briefly in the Lusail Iconic Stadium. It was initially unclear whether Kurz also met Musk – it wouldn’t be illogical: Kurz’s employer Peter Thiel founded the PayPal payment service together with Musk in 2000 – the sale made both of them rich. One thing is clear: Kushner was also seen with Musk after meeting Kurz.
