Worrying Christmas for second division professional Kai Brünker (28)!

The Magdeburg striker has been missing his father Dirk (61) since December 23. On Boxing Day, Brünker started a search operation in his hometown of Villingen in the Black Forest, in which more than 400 people took part – unfortunately without success.

Brünker’s dad was last seen on December 23 at around 8.30 p.m. in the “Ott” restaurant.

According to the Villingen police, contrary to other habits, the missing person did not return to his home address, which is why the family reported him missing. It cannot be ruled out that Brünker’s father is in a helpless situation or that something has happened to him.

The police have been looking for Brünker’s dad since Christmas Eve – initially with a helicopter and thermal imaging camera. And the DLRG (German Life Saving Society) also searched streams and banks. There is still no trace. That’s why officials are asking for information from the public. The number of the Villingen police station is: 07721-6010.

Description of missing person: The 61-year-old is approximately 1.90 meters tall, slim, has short gray hair, wears blue jeans, an olive-green parka, brown shoes and a blue sweatshirt with stripes.

The FCM player thanks the searchers via Instagram. “Thank you to everyone who was there today. We were unfortunately unsuccessful in finding my father. But we were successful because we searched a very large area,” says Brünker. In order to define this more precisely, the footballer needs more information about where the volunteers were looking. They can contact him via Instagram survey or message: @kai.bruenker.

In addition, the striker has a request to the residents of Villingen-Schwenningen and the surrounding area: “We urgently ask everyone who was not at home over Christmas and the public holidays to search their own garages, basements, etc..”

The FCM professionals are currently on vacation. Training starts in Magdeburg on January 2nd, two days later the club flies to Turkey.
