With 31 points from Wiggins, Warriors beat Clippers

SAN FRANCSICO (AP) — Andrew Wiggins scored a season-high 31 points, hitting successive 3-pointers during a key stretch midway through the third quarter, and the Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Clippers 124-107 on Wednesday night.

Wiggins made 12 of his 18 field goals and tied his season-high for 3-pointers with six in his third consecutive performance of at least 20 points.

Stephen Curry added 22 points, nine assists and six rebounds, while Klay Thompson chipped in 18 points. He made his first three field goals, two 3-pointers and four of his first five initial field goals, leading to 15 points in the first quarter. After a one-handed dunk near the end of the first quarter, he raised both arms to cheer the crowd on as he rejoined defense.

After a slow start to the season, Thompson scored a season-high 41 points Sunday in Houston — a performance in which he hit 10 3-pointers.

Marcus Morris Sr. made 19 points leading the Clippers’ offense and Terance Mann added 17. Amir Coffey hit his first three field goals, but Los Angeles was just 5-of-13 from long range in the first half to go trailing 66-47 at halftime. while the Warriors hit 56.5%.
