We have junior world champions

The day of finals has been lived intensely in the capital of the Bay of Biscay. The chosen ones meet at the Ballena de Santander, the survivors of the individual event table today had their most important appointment of the year.

The morning began with the delivery of awards and authorities, with Cornelia Schneider’s farewell as BWF referee being especially emotional.

Below is a brief summary of each final with the podium result.

Men’s Singles

At the edge of the third game the two players had us. After a resounding victory in the first game, Kuo, about to sentence the second set, has lost 3 match points in a row. However, the one from Chinese Taipei was able to move up one more gear and pass the Indian 22-20.

  • Oro: Kuo (China Taipei)
  • Plata: Subramanian (India)
  • Bronzes: Teeraratsakul (Thailand) – Kim (Korea)

Women’s Singles

The youngest duel in the finals, with both 16-year-old athletes. A very equal duel at all times, with few moments in which a winner could clearly be defined. Finally, the Japanese patient took the victory. However, the two have shown an astronomical level.

  • Gold: Mizayaki (Japan)
  • Silver: Yuan (Chinese)
  • Bronzes: Yoshikawa (Japan) – Wardoyo (Japan)

Mixed Double

After a strong start by the Zhu – Liu couple, their teammates, Lao – Huang revived in the second game. However, it was not enough to snatch victory from his compatriots.

  • Oro: Zhu – Liu (China)
  • Plata: Lao – Huang (China)
  • Bronces: Yu / Qin (China) – Sheng / Li (China)

Male Double

A lot of intensity in this great game. Short points, with a lot of speed. The volantistas have had to work hard to achieve the world trophy. The Chinese finally won the match 21-18, 14-21 and 22-20.

  • Oro: Xu – Zhu (China)
  • Plata: Erwiansa – Rindorindo (Indonesia)
  • Bronzes: Cho / Park (Korea) – Gaterahong / Jintamuttha (Thailandia)

Female Double

A meeting full of long points that have tested the resistance of the athletes and have delighted the audience. Despite the intensity, the Chinese dominated in the final sets, taking the championship by right.

  • Oro: Liu – Wang (China)
  • Plata: Puspita – Rose (Indonesia)
  • Bronces: Kiyama / Muroya (Japon) – Ishikawa / Kiyoshe (Japón)
