In an amusing situation at the first stage of the World Cup in Whistler on Saturday, the German bobsleigh crew of four happened to be unable to brake in time at the end of the first run and left the track.

In the first race, the four-wheeler of the German Christopher Hafer went on the track with the sixth number and showed the third fastest time at the finish. However, the sledge had run so fast that the bobsledders could not stop it in time. As a result, the bob went too far and crashed off the track, the inclines were also seriously damaged, which had to slide on the asphalt for a while.

In the second race, Hafer’s crew did not participate, but the victory was won by another German pilot, Francesco Friedrich. Latvian bobsledders do not compete in the World Cup in the first part of the season.
