“I’m getting a divorce. We decided that last week,” Tom says in the interview. The former cyclist is very sick of it. “If you had told me this five months ago, I wouldn’t have believed you.”
Tom and Thanee were together for 13 years and got married in 2018. “I always hoped I wouldn’t become one of those cyclists who got divorced after his career ended,” he says of the split. “But unfortunately that is the case.”
Despite the sad news, Tom is “actually doing very well.” “Maybe there will come a period when it will be sad and painful. And that may be there.”
